
Between 1620 and 1630 the Pilgrims and Puritans, called Founding Fathers, left great Britain and settled in the northest coast of North America in the area that in now Boston in Massachusetts. They were part of a Protenstant religious group and went to the New World to practice their religions freely.
Success at work and making money were a sign of God's favor; this became the American work ethic.
